Our client is launching the most reliable and accurate colony counter to solve long-standing challenges in pharmaceutical environmental monitoring.

How did we deliver this impact?

We worked closely with the client R&D and industrial design teams to understand the workflows, deployment environments and desired user experience. We helped implement a custom Linux based imaging solution coupled with a custom IO controller with LCD display integration to build a sleek, fast machine.

What challenges did we overcome?

The IO controller was straightforward enough but the bigger challenge was ensuring response times from the camera of <100ms while auto-optimising for varying petri dishes under constant lighting conditions.
